All blogs must reside by these terms of service. Failing to do so will result in site suspension.
Allowed Uses
WordPress blogs and sites created here must be primarily Japanese media or culture related.
So what kind of Japanese-related content is acceptable under this rule? If you create one of the following, you can create an account here (The list is exhaustive, but doesn’t contain everything):
- Blogging/Podcasting/Creating Videos about Japanese media and/or culture
- Creating fan-art/anime-styled artwork (including OCs)
- VTubing (including creating models)
- Vocaloid/Voiceroid (works created with Vocaloid, Cevio Ai, SynthV, Voiceroid, Voicepeak, etc)
- Fanfiction or fiction (based off Japanese works or Japanese inspired)
- Any small business selling Japanese goods.
- Japanese inspired video games, RPG Maker or visual novels.
- Cosplay, and other creations involving Japanese media or Japanese inspired.
Posting non-Japanese content is okay, as long as it’s primarily focused on Japanese-related content. Any content you create on your blog/site is yours and we will not use your content in any way.
Additionally, one user may have up to three blogs.
Disallowed Uses
You may not use your WordPress blog/site for the following uses. This will result in a revocation of service.
- Sharing any content with the intention of discriminating others (e.g. race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion) or any hate speech
- Sharing misinformation (e.g. Covid19 Misinformation) or anything related with extremist movements (alt-right, national socialism, etc)
- Sharing content with the intention of harassing other people
- Anything that breaks US Law (CSAM/pedophilia/etc)
- Uploading Lolicon/Shoutacon content
- Blog content consisting entirely of AI generated text content or images (e.g. ChatGPT)
- Blog Scraping other people’s content without permission
- Sharing links to licensed Pirated Media (excluding unlicensed translated media)
If you are suspended or move from our Mastodon/Misskey server (see relayed servers list), you must add a link to Yoshino Garden and JoinSakurajima in the footer or widget. Otherwise, your blog will also be terminated after 90 days. We will give you a grace period to move your site/blog to another host before we remove access completely.
If you specified an existing blog, but not a member of our servers or affiliates, you are required to link back to Yoshino Garden and JoinSakurajima. Failure to do so in 7 days after blog creation will result in your site being disabled.
If you delete your account and you have no active accounts on our servers, your site will be deleted immediately.
In Event of Service Closure
In event that Yoshino Garden hosting service being discontinued, we will keep the service up for 3 months to give users the chance to move their content to another host.
TOS Violations
